Overview
The Power Automation and Controls Operator will be part of a technical organization under the Controls Engineer. Their tasks will range from operating the equipment, basic troubleshooting, and business-leading training, all in an effort to operate industrial equipment with excellence in a Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC). These individuals will be working with state-of-the-art industrial equipment and will be working with a diverse team to help deliver automation processes to the highest standards. Responsibilities
Essential business requirements:
- Low Voltage Training and Qualification
- Autonomous Maintenance Capabilities:
- CILs (Clean, Inspect and Lubrication)
- IO checks for alignment, debris, obstruction, cleanliness
- Schedule Safety device operation checks
- Centerline checks
- Controls
- On the job training with introduction to PLC’s and HMIs
- On the job introductory training to ladder logic
- Loss Elimination Tasks:
- Identifying defects
- Identifying and reporting equipment inefficiencies
- Documenting RCAs, Fishbone
- Equipment Tasks:
- Clearing jams
- Reworking scrap
- Reworking Rejects
- Removing Scrap
- Confirming Quality Product
- Reloading/Reworking Material
- Operate typical MHE equipment (Fork, Clamp, Riders, scissor lifts, fall protection)
- Customer Relations
- Willing to work rotating shifts
- Able to display skills in warehouse automation processes, including operating, maintaining and cleaning automated equipment
- Maintaining accurate records and data
- Develop strong technical, interpersonal and analytical skills
Minimum Qualifications
- Capable of learning in a dynamic, complex environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
- Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
- Willing to work rotating shifts
- Use basic hand and power tools
- Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend
- Enter confined spaces
- Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time.
- Basic Computer Skills
- Adept with Microsoft Software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System, ideally Manhattan.
- Previous experience operating automation equipment like: ASRS, Robotic Cells, Shuttles, Start stop Conveyors, Rail Receiving
