Team Leader Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen team members to ensure efficient food preparation and excellent customer service.
- Ensure kitchen team members adhere to Chick-fil-A's standards of performance, safety, and cleanliness.
- Provide constructive feedback and performance coaching to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen.
Food Safety & Quality Control:
- Ensure all food is prepared according to Chick-fil-A’s quality standards.
- Monitor food storage and inventory to prevent waste and ensure freshness.
- Ensure the kitchen meets food safety regulations and maintains cleanliness at all times.
- Regularly inspect food preparation areas and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
Kitchen Operations & Efficiency:
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation of all menu items.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of orders.
- Manage kitchen prep and cooking stations to ensure high levels of efficiency.
- Assist in inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing stock levels.
Training & Development:
- Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and Chick-fil-A standards.
- Provide continuous development opportunities for team members, promoting growth and advancement within the company.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Open availability, including Saturdays
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ideally with supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and cleanliness.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
- Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
- Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
- Reliable transportation
