What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities & Custodial Team Member position at Chick-fil-A?
Facilities/Custodial Team Member maintains the restaurant building and grounds, and ultimately operational excellence including the delivery of 2nd Mile Service. This position is critical to the strategic growth of the restaurant by developing trust with guests through meeting maintenance orders, cleanliness, the Quality Requirements all day every day, and ensuring guests feel cared for by meeting 2nd Mile Service requirements.

Ability to read chemical labels and material safety data sheets (MSDS).
Ability to read instructions and manuals and follow directions.
Ability to initiate and complete work orders at the direction of the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.
Assist with maintenance of internal and external building and grounds under the direction of the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, including but not limited to, cleaning, stocking, trash removal, and other facilities related tasks. Ensure that all activities conform to Chick-fil-A guidelines and standards. Communicate effectively with all team members and staff.
React to change productively, be adaptable with workflow, and handle other tasks as assigned. Appropriately operate all equipment and machinery as necessary. Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all projects. Move equipment and materials as needed. Adhere to all company health and safety policies. Other duties as assigned by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager and/or Leadership team.

Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials up to 50 lbs.
Requires stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching.
Requires climbing and balancing.
Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
Must work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
Must be able to work in high places.
