- Greet customers when entering and leaving the premises in a friendly manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Manage transactions using a cash register
- Balance the cash register
- Scan goods and ensure pricing and quantities are accurate
- Accept payments in cash, credit, or check
- Provide change and receipts
- Issue gift cards
