Cashier Description
The Front of House Team Member is dedicated to carrying out Chick-fil-A’s vision to be the world’s most caring company. This individual must be committed to genuine hospitality, fast & accurate service, great food, a clean & safe environment, and creating an environment that harbors communication and reliability. The Cashier is responsible for completing sales transactions within the establishment and performing other support functions which may include cleaning the food, display and/or stock areas and assisting with stocking activities; performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
Duties Include:
- Is someone who values the power of teamwork
- Exhibit a positive & servants heart attitude with every customer and team interaction
- Use our CORE 4 model to serve guests: eye contact, smile, speak enthusiastically, stay connected
- Take orders with speed and accuracy
- Look for opportunities to stock or clean when not serving a customer
- Check for product quality and consistency
- Assist leadership in executing opening or closing procedures
- Assist in all stations in the front of the house, such as bagging, expediter, desserts and drinks
- Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items
- Complete all tasks assigned
- Operates a cash register and receives payment from customers in cash or credit card, accurately
- Active food handler card
- Demonstrates knowledge of Emerging policies and product, service, quality, equipment and operations standards
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
- Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work at a quick, yet efficient and thorough pace
- Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
- Customer Service-Oriented
- Must have food handler’s card
- Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents as well as converse comfortably with customers
Physical Requirements:
The following are physical actions that are commonly required during the performance of the daily job routine. They include but are not limited to the following:
- Walk continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods of time to perform normal job functions
- Ability to lift and/or move up to a minimum of 30 pounds
- Use protective equipment such as gloves, eye protection and/or other protective equipment deemed appropriate as needed.
- Any and all other physical movements necessary to complete assigned tasks.
