Reports Directly To : Financial Director, Operations Director
Job Purpose :
The Inventory Coordinator at Chick-fil-A Rincon is responsible for managing and maintaining all inventory needs, ensuring that the restaurant always has the right amount of stock. This includes ordering inventory through Chick-fil-A Supply, receiving shipments, organizing stock, and performing regular inventory counts. The role also involves maintaining product quality, ensuring inventory is fresh, and optimizing storage to improve efficiency. The Inventory Coordinator will work closely with the Financial Director and Operations Director to implement new procedures and ensure that inventory is placed in the most effective storage locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Order Inventory :
- Order all necessary inventory (Chick-fil-A Supply, Bread, Produce, Linens, etc.) to ensure that stock levels align with restaurant needs and sales forecasts.
- Work with the Financial Director to anticipate inventory requirements based on business trends, promotions, and guest demands.
- Inventory Organization :
- Receive and put away deliveries of inventory, ensuring items are organized, labeled, and stored properly in the designated storage areas.
- Optimize the layout of the inventory area to ensure easy access and efficient use of space, making sure items are placed in the most effective spots.
- Inventory Management :
- Continuously monitor inventory levels to maintain the right balance—avoiding overstocking or running out of key products.
- Rotate stock according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Ensure that necessary items are reordered in a timely manner to avoid stockouts and operational disruptions.
- Quality Control :
- Regularly inspect products for quality, freshness, and safety, particularly food items that require careful storage and handling.
- Report any expired, damaged, or compromised products to the Financial Director and take appropriate action to discard or replace them.
- Inventory Audits :
- Conduct periodic and accurate inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with digital records, identifying discrepancies and resolving any issues.
- Perform Piece Validation on chicken products to check the quality and weight of each item, ensuring it meets the restaurant’s standards for freshness and portion size. This includes verifying that each chicken piece aligns with established weight and quality specifications.
- Provide detailed inventory reports to the Operations Director, highlighting stock trends, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
