Job Title: Outside Porter

Job Summary:

As an Outside Porter at Chick-fil-A, your primary responsibility is to maintain the exterior cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. This includes ensuring that the parking lot, sidewalks, drive-thru, and surrounding outdoor areas are clean, safe, and inviting for all customers. Your role is crucial in providing a positive first impression of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exterior Cleaning & Maintenance:
• Sweep, mop, and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, and entrance areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests.
• Empty outdoor trash cans and ensure the proper disposal of waste.
• Clean and organize outdoor seating areas, keeping them free of debris and ensuring they are ready for customers to use.
• Pressure wash or spot clean exterior surfaces (such as walls or windows) as needed.
• Drive-Thru Maintenance:
• Ensure that the drive-thru lane, signage, and surrounding areas are free of trash and debris.
• Maintain clear access to the drive-thru and parking lot, ensuring safe and efficient customer flow.
• Keep the drive-thru speaker and order board clean and in good working condition.
• Landscaping & Groundskeeping:
• Monitor and maintain landscaping areas (such as flower beds or grassy patches), ensuring they are tidy and well-kept.
• Pick up litter from around the exterior of the building, including the parking lot and any surrounding grounds.
• Guest Experience:
• Greet customers in a friendly manner as they enter or exit the restaurant.
• Assist with maintaining the outdoor dining area, including keeping tables, chairs, and surrounding spaces clean and accessible.
• Provide assistance with outdoor events or promotions as needed (e.g., setting up tables, distributing materials).
• Safety & Compliance:
• Follow safety protocols to avoid accidents while cleaning or working with outdoor equipment.
• Monitor outdoor areas for potential hazards, such as wet spots, ice, or debris, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
• Equipment & Supplies:
• Ensure that all outdoor cleaning equipment (brooms, pressure washers, etc.) is well-maintained and in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to management, such as broken equipment or safety hazards.

Pay: $10 - $12 / hour
