About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and equipment through comprehensive maintenance of the building, CNC machines, and chip management systems. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repair, and preventive care to minimize downtime and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Building Maintenance: Perform routine upkeep of the shop facility, including minor repairs to plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and HVAC; ensure cleanliness and safety compliance throughout the workspace
- Machine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and lubrication of CNC machines; troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; replace worn parts and calibrate equipment to maintain precision and performance
- Chip Maintenance: Manage chip removal and recycling processes, including clearing machine beds, maintaining chip conveyors, and ensuring proper disposal or storage of metal shavings to support a clean and hazard-free environment
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance plans to prevent equipment failures, document activities, and recommend improvements to enhance machine longevity and efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain a tidy work area, and ensure equipment and facility meet company standards
- Collaboration: Work closely with machinists and supervisors to address urgent repair needs and support production schedules
Qualifications / Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in a CNC or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with chip management systems and metalworking processes is a plus.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on work ethic
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment
