TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Assistant Preschool Teacher
Work Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8am - 4.30pm www.chickadeedaycare.com

Position Summary
Teachers teach through creative play by modeling behavior. You will focus on developmentally appropriate education emphasizing emotional, and physical health. These activities will occur within a safe, supportive environment where children can explore, build, and apply skills.

Responsibilities
- Team collaboration
- Toileting help including diapering for those learning to use the potty
- Monitor babies while they sleep
- Play, sing, read with your preschoolers
- Cultivate close working relationships with families to encourage open communication and engagement.
- Create a safe, kind, and loving Care environment.
Requirements
- You love working with young children
- You are committed to each child individually
- You are adept in developing creative, lively, and interactive activities
- You are patient, warm, caring, and loving
- You must be physically able lift up to 30 pounds and assume low level postures to interact with children appropriately (you must be able to interact at “their level” every day, all day)
- You are CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to obtain
Education & Experience
- BS/BA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not required, OR
- AA/AS degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, OR
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
