About the Role:
Join us as the Supply Chain Transportation Analyst for Chicken of the Sea, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the daily performance and key metrics of our product transportation throughout the Supply Chain. This position is responsible for identifying areas of improvement, reducing costs, and fostering collaborative relationships with both external and internal partners to achieve our business objectives. As the subject matter expert on transportation challenges and solutions, you'll work towards advancing Chicken of the Sea’s service and cost targets.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the achievement of customer delivery service targets by proactively identifying and resolving transportation issues.
- Develop and maintain transportation scorecards for current and new 3PL providers, driving accountability through regular reviews.
- Manage all freight claims to resolution and implement processes to minimize their impact.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to address root causes of vendor compliance deductions.
- Create dashboards and scorecards to provide senior leadership with insights into transportation spend across the Chicken of the Sea network.
- Work with other departments to integrate transportation with business systems and processes such as customer service, order management, accounting, and warehousing.
- Develop and communicate transportation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Identify and execute cost-saving projects in transportation areas.
- Lead the execution of our sample process by working with cross functional partners to ensure accurate order placement with timely delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of transportation/logistics/supply chain experience.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and improve processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
- Proactive with the ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Preferences:
- Work experience preferably in a CPG Food Company or Consumer Goods Company.
- Working knowledge of database systems (SQL).
Physical Demands
