Chickering Elementary School in Dover MA seeks a talented and compassionate classroom teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
We seek an elementary certified educator who values and respects children and who is a strong collaborator, a reflective learner, and a dynamic practitioner. The classroom teacher is expected to teach curriculum using engaging and innovative pedagogy, assess and respond to student growth, and design individual and small group intervention and inclusion of students with special education and ML needs.
In addition, the teacher will maintain a classroom community predicated on mutual respect, positive relationships, and empowerment for meaningful learning. We use an inquiry-based approach in science and social studies and are committed to a rigorous instruction for reading, writing and mathematics.
A successful candidate will hold DESE licensure, SEI endorsement, and have proven experience in effective strategies for engaging and empowering students, cultural proficiency and responsiveness, and differentiating learning are essential.
Additional responsibilities include communication with families, participation in faculty and grade level team meetings, and curriculum/assessment development.
