Job Summary:

The Pastry Chef is responsible for all aspects of pastry production, including menu development, recipe creation, production, and quality control. This role requires a creative and skilled individual with a strong passion for baking and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute creative and innovative pastry menus that align with seasonal trends and the overall culinary vision of the restaurant(s).
  • Create and maintain high-quality pastry recipes, ensuring consistent flavor profiles and presentation.
  • Oversee the production of all pastries, including desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Order and maintain inventory of all pastry ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu planning and special events.
  • Continuously research and develop new pastry techniques and trends.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by consistently delivering high-quality pastries with exceptional presentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or similar environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute creative and innovative pastry menus.
  • Strong baking and pastry skills, including experience with a variety of techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Food safety and sanitation certification required.
  • Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and a commitment to sustainability.

Experience:

  • Restaurant Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
