Do you have experience and enjoy working with children with diverse needs? GET PAID TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN KIDS' LIVES! The Chico Area Recreation & Park District is searching for energetic, responsible individuals who are interested in making a difference in kids' lives.
After School Program Inclusion Leaders will support elementary aged children who have diverse needs with academics and structured activities, and will help to create a successful, safe, and fun environment for participants. Inclusion Leaders will provide one-on-one or small group support with the goal of supporting participants to fully engage in the program.
We are looking for applicants who enjoy and have experience working with children with disabilities and diverse needs, have a passion for promoting inclusion in recreational settings, are energetic, positive role models, responsible, and have strong behavior management skills.
Employment Dates: The 2024/2025 school year runs through June 6, 2025. Employees have the opportunity to return for following semesters.
Schedule: Work hours are Monday through Friday from 2:00-6:00 pm. We are currently hiring substitute Inclusion Leaders. This position is an “on call” position and hours are not guaranteed. Substitutes will be called to cover for permanently scheduled Inclusion Leaders when they need a day off. When permanent placement positions come available, substitutes will be offered the positions. This happens throughout the school year, especially at the semester change.
Work Locations: After School Programs are located at elementary schools in Chico.

Please note, new employees can expect to start at Step 1, or $17.50/hr.
