Under the direction of the Production Chef, the role assists in all aspects of production kitchen operations, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and catering tasks in accordance with prepared menus. Key duties include executing recipes, scaling them, and catering district events. The role involves using various cooking methods such as baking, braising, and broiling, along with food prep tasks like washing, chopping, and slicing. Additionally, the role supervises food service staff, operates kitchen equipment, trains employees, monitors food safety, and ensures adherence to regulations. Responsibilities also include inventory management, maintaining kitchen sanitation, preparing reports, and administering First Aid and CPR if necessary. A strong understanding of food service operations, kitchen equipment, safety standards, and record-keeping is essential, as well as the ability to work efficiently, communicate effectively, and maintain positive working relationships. Ability to obtain and maintain certification for ServSafe, First Aid, and CPR by the end of the 5th month of employment required.
