Chief Detective is a top agency on Meta, specializing in ecommerce and working with direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands in apparel, beauty, lifestyle, and more. Representative clients include Jenni Kayne, Ursa Major, Merit Beauty, Frank & Eileen, and TOMS Shoes.
We are looking to aggressively expand our production capabilities to develop a best in-class performance marketing production team capable of supporting all paid social content needs across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Youtube, and beyond.
We are seeking a hungry, passionate, and experienced Director of Production to lead this team and help develop our production capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in an agency environment and understand the rapidly-changing environment of performance marketing and content needs. The ideal candidate will also have a track record in recruiting and working with professional and creator / influencer talent, managing shoot operations (remote and on-site) and translating creative briefs into compelling and effective content for digital advertising campaigns.
Role :
Handles the day-to-day logistics and operations of specific production projects. They ensure that the productions run smoothly, stays on schedule, and adheres to the budget. Work in collaboration with the Head of Content on broader strategy and vision, and the focus on executing those strategies.
Responsibilities :
- Production Operations : Managing the logistics of production, including scheduling, briefing, budgeting, crew coordination, resource allocation and quality control. Monitoring and controlling the project budget on a micro-level. Communicating with external vendors and contractors.
- Production Team Management : Manage all team members including influencer program managers, content producers, etc. Communicating with external vendors, contractors, and coordination with the post production team.
- Collaboration with Creative Strategy : Collaborate closely with creative strategists to concept, storyboard, moodboard, shot list and outline deliverables that align with campaign and client objectives.
- Talent Negotiation : Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors, studios, talent and production personnel.
- Innovation : Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in production techniques and technologies.
- Reporting : Daily progress reports to the Head of Production and other key stakeholders.
- Infrastructure : Work in collaboration with the Head of Production on best practices guidelines, templatized documents and recorded standard operating procedures.
