What they’re looking for:
- 2–3 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience (no new grads)
- Strong foundation in thermodynamics
- Familiarity with ASME Sections VIII, IX, X (boilers/pressure vessels)
- Willingness to get into the details — including some of the “less glamorous” work that keeps the wheels turning
- Mechanical aptitude and curiosity
Nice-to-haves:
- CAD proficiency
- Experience with steam systems or industrial equipment
- Comfortable in a role where flexibility and cross-functional tasks are the norm
