ABOUT THE ROLE
Service Assistants lend support to our staff and improve the overall food and beverage experience for the guests. They assist servers, performing any tasks necessary to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Welcome each guest with a smile and friendly greeting.
· Coordinate food orders to guarantee timely and efficient delivery to guests.
· Exercise table maintenance when dropping off food, clearing any dirty dishes as necessary, etc.
· Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
· Have extensive menu knowledge, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information and communicate this information tableside to guests.
· Be able to navigate restaurant and venue floor, including tight spaces and dark and noisy rooms.
· Check floor set up, making sure proper number of chairs are at each table in every section.
- Assure tabletops and chairs are sanitized as well as floor area around them.
- Inform management of any complaints, comments, or incidents.
- Maintain a good rapport with both FOH & BOH hourly & management teams.
- Ensure daily/nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed.
· Perform other reasonably assigned duties as per business needs and/or assigned by management.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
· Prior busser or food runner experience in high-volume, fast paced restaurant or similar environment preferred.
· Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results- oriented, restaurant/bar/venue environment
· Exceptional guest service and hospitality skills
· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
· Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently
· Ability to take direction, and communicate effectively and professionally
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to perform physical requirements of position including standing for extended periods of time, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, able to lift loads of up to 50 lbs.
· Able to work rapidly, especially during peak periods to ensure that all guests are being serviced properly and necessary operational tasks are being completed in a timely manner
· Ability to sustain loud noise volume
