Job Summary:
The Information Technology (IT) Manager oversees CSC employees’ company email, share drives, laptops, software, telephones, internal processes and applications, VOIP, and camera systems. The IT Manager maintains a secure, user-friendly technology experience for our staff and external partners and provides technical support and strategic planning in a timely manner.
In addition to managing daily IT operations, the IT Manager looks for ways to improve and upgrade the company’s technology. This includes keeping systems secure, finding better tools to help employees work efficiently, and making sure IT solutions support the company’s goals. They also help plan for future technology needs, troubleshoot issues before they become big problems, and ensure employees have the support they need to do their jobs smoothly. With a focus on problem-solving and teamwork, this role helps keep the company’s technology reliable and easy to use.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversees IT department including help desk staff providing direction and feedback while maintaining a current job description.
- Collaborate with the Operations Team, including HR and Facilities, to support IT needs across the organization.
- Secure company IT assets by implementing strong security measures for both on-premises hardware and cloud-based services.
- Develop and enforce IT and cybersecurity policies, providing staff training on key technical tools such as email, phones, printers, scanners, and laptops.
- Manage IT support, including a ticketing system for troubleshooting employee issues and mentoring a help desk technician for career growth.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including network design, security, and maintenance across all properties.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, tracking network equipment, laptops, accessories, printers, and phones by user and location.
- Develop and maintain internal applications and automated processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Oversee IT budget, including department-specific IT spending and compliance with external policies (e.g., insurance, government regulations)
- Manage voice and communication systems, including cellular, copper, VOIP services, and security camera systems.
- Support organizational communication efforts, including website updates and intranet development.
- Create and maintain backup systems and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Participate in staff, management, and team meetings, contributing IT insights and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as situation requires or as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT related field, or equivalent work experience, required
Experience:
- 3-5 years of IT Experience, leadership experience is preferred
- Experience working in an organization that serves vulnerable communities.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- M365 Administration: Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure AD
- Device & Endpoint Management: Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Directory & Identity Management: AD Connect, Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS)
- Security & Compliance: Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Licensing
- Networking & Infrastructure: Extensive knowledge of DHCP, DNS, file and print services, and TCP/IP
- Database Management: Microsoft SQL
- Knowledge of VOIP systems and practices

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: work at a stationary work space for long periods of time, with mobility to move throughout the office; use a PC, constantly reaching with hands and fingers and keyboarding extensively; work with team as frequent communication is required, including use of the telephone; be able to read and write documents in hard and electronic copy, including those requiring great attention to detail; have the physical strength and agility to handle routine office tasks and machinery. Occasional travel may be required for certain employees depending on location.
This position is typically in an office environment with desktop business equipment and frequent telephone calls. Noise level is moderate. Frequent interruptions are common, while under deadlines and time constraints.
