Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the security of property. This position is to fill in for time off ect. No guarentee hours.
Duties
- Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce regulations and procedures to maintain order and prevent loss or damage.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when necessary, ensuring the well-being of individuals on-site.
- Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as required during incidents or investigations.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or loss prevention is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment and techniques is beneficial.
- Strong conflict management skills are essential for handling various situations professionally.
- A background in military service may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
