Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect crime, maintaining a visible presence in our community.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing prompt and effective assistance.
- Investigate crimes, accidents, and incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to ensure justice is served.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports for court and departmental use, maintaining transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and first responders to share information and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in criminal justice is preferred.
- Certification by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission (CJSTC) or currently enrolled in a Florida-approved law enforcement academy.
- Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism.
Salary/Compensation: $46,200 per year
