What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Assistant position at Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC?
CSG Law is seeking an experienced Treasury Assistant to aid with the daily treasury functions of a 200-attorney law firm.
As a Treasury Assistant, you will work with senior leaders of the firm and provide direct support to the Treasury Manager, Director of Finance and CFO, performing day-to-day financial functions, reconciling and reporting. Collaboration is also expected with departments outside of Finance, to include Human Resources, Information Technology, and others.
You will handle all trust activity daily. You will assist in all functions of the treasury department and provide back up support to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable when necessary. You will investigate and resolve discrepancies and abnormalities within all treasury functions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Work experience as a Treasury Assistant or similar role
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and financial software applications
- Proficient written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Ability to remain focused for extended periods
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines
Preferred Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience working in a professional services organization
- Experience with Aderant software
- Experience with Iridium or similar business intelligence tool
- Experience in bank statement reconciliations
- Knowledge of Escrow Accounting
This position is in-person five days per week in our Roseland, NJ office.
