The Priority Center is seeking a full-time Grant Writer for its Fund Development team. Our mission is to deliver life-changing programs to assist people in crisis by giving them the tools and support necessary to end the generational cycle of trauma.
The Priority Center also offers a 9 / 80 work week schedule which allows for one day off every two weeks (equivalent to having an additional 26 days off per year!)
The Grant Writer is responsible for the research, writing, and preparation of grant proposals to private and public funding sources in both foundation and corporate entities. The Grant Writer creates a pipeline of grants to private funders primarily and submits grants and follow-up reports in a timely manner, as well as ensures compliance of existing programs. The Grant Writer will participate in proposal preparation and act as a lead in the review and terms and conditions of acceptance over the life of agreements. The Grant Writer will report to, support, and advise the Senior Director of Development in solving challenges such as assessment of risk, special contractual provisions, and performance expectations.
Goals
- Research and identify new grant opportunities
- Create grant proposal templates for grant submission for Connected Care, general operations, specific program needs, and innovative program development. Proposals need to be reviewed by the direct supervisor, Senior Director of Development, prior to review by Executive Director / CEO for final review and signature.
- Ensure quality applications are prepared, presented, and submitted by the appointed deadline date
- Manage the grant calendar and prepare monthly reports for Development Leadership and Ex. Director.
- Ensure data and relationship files are current within one week
- Communicate grant status and program progress to grantors
- Prepare all grant follow-up reports
- Prepare personalized thank you notes to private foundations and corporations from ED / CEO
- Mail out each year annual reports to all foundations.
- Prepare Grant Foundation and Corporate Foundation Reports for the Board Meetings

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with hourly compensation ranging from $27.88 to $28.85, equating to approximately $58,000 to $60,000 annually.
