Child Adult Resource Services, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Employment Consultant to join our team in a Production setting
The Production Employment Consultant (PEC) is responsible for assisting individual’s with maintaining effective community employment at the Production site, utilizing a variety of tools including a forklift.
The PEC is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective community employment contacts and sites for the persons with disabilities as well as providing job coaching for participants who have obtained community employment.

Primary Job Responsibilities not limited to but include:
1. Develop and maintain working relationships with participants, family members, employers, and Voc. Rehab. staff as well as with other community service providers, as appropriate.
2. Adapt to and implement any and all changes within the Indiana VR manual as directed by the State of Indiana.
3. Participate in the screening and assessment of C.A.R.S. Waiver / SGL clients for possible referral to Employment Services.
4. Participate in the development of the client’s Discovery Profile to include individualized goals and objectives
5. Job-develop and develop job placement based on participants’ preferences as stated in the Discovery Profile
6. Inform ES participants about the effects of their wages on their Social Security benefits. Assist participants in accessing Social Security Work Incentives.
7. Be available to clients whose job may vary from standard daytime and weekday work schedules – Be flexible in terms of days and hours worked
8. Assist employed participant(s) to arrange their own transportation or provide participants with necessary transportation to and/or from appropriate services until their own transportation is arranged.
9. Provide individualized support services that may include but is not limited to… job coaching, advocacy and skill training.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.59 per hour
