What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist / Office Support position at Child and Family Psychiatric Center?
Position is for a receptionist/back office support staff. Hours would be within our business hours (8am-5:30pm) Monday thru Friday. Excellent customer service and strong multi-tasking skills are essential for this position. Previous medical office experience is strongly preferred.
Applicants must provide outstanding customer service while possessing the flexibility to handle a variety of administrative office tasks including but not limited to:
Customer service

Scheduling patient appointments
Checking patients in for their appointments
Collecting and/or updating necessary paperwork
Collecting co-payments and any balances owing
Verifying and updating insurances as necessary
Answering phone, directing calls and taking accurate, detailed messages
Appointment reminder calls
Managing referrals
Verifying insurance benefits via online portals and by phone
Follow up on fax correspondence
Obtaining and tracking insurance and medication prior authorizations

As a Front Desk Receptionist / Office Support, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service in a medical office setting. With premium skills in managing phone calls and, your relevant experience in Microsoft Office, data entry, insurance and patient collections, as well as calendar management will support the administrative needs of the office, contributing to a welcoming and efficient environment for both staff and patients.
