SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Therapist provides services for individuals and their families in the home, school, and community that are designed to: ensure safety and stability of the child and family to promote successful functioning in home, school, and community; avert treatment in a residential or inpatient setting; facilitate an earlier return of individuals to the home environment who receive inpatient or residential care; strengthen family functioning; and assist students in achieving optimal benefits from their education.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work with people of multi-cultural and different levels of education and socioeconomic status.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to organize large amounts of information.
- Ability to document work in a clear, concise, timely and goal oriented manner.
- Ability to work and communicate positively with collaterials involved with the participant/family.
- Knowledge of child, adolescent, and family mental health and developmentally appropriate dynamics.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to incorporate therapy directives of Supervisor and MST Expert.
- Must attend the initial 6 day MST training and all quarterly booster training's.
- The nature of this position requires the incumbent to be on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.
- This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of
- convictions.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPR, CPI and/or van driving training as such training is necessary to ensure ability/continued ability to perform essential functions of this job.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral
- Management certification as may be contract-mandated.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of First Aid classes.

Salary : $63,814 - $71,094
