Parent Partner - Ohana Support Services (Full-time)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Parent Partners are parents/caregivers who have "lived experience" as a primary caregiver for a youth with serious mental health challenges, and who have been certified or is eligible to be a Parent Support Provider (PSP) by the National Federation of Families. Provides direct services to families/caregivers within their assigned Family Guidance Center or Family Court Liaison Branch. Parent Partners work closely with the family and assigned Care Coordinator and Treatment Team to ensure the family needs are being met. Will work directly with each family/caregiver to develop services based on the requests of the family. Participates in meetings with the family to support and encourage their voice to be heard.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• Six months plus. Must have "lived experience" as a primary caregivers for a youth with serious mental health challenges. Has been or is eligible to become certified as a Parent Support Provider (PSP) by the National Federation of Families in Children's Mental Health or the equivalent.

Salary : $38,000 - $45,000
