What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Start Preschool Teacher position at CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES?
Major Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a wide variety of creative and developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 3 to 5 that promote school readiness through language, literacy, cognition, social studies, mathematics, science, the arts, social-emotional skills and physical development in a culturally and linguistically rich environment.
- Develop and maintain on-going relationships with parents as partners in their child's learning process.
- Conduct developmental screenings, observations, and on-going assessments to inform the development and implementation of monthly goals for each child.
- Conduct Home Visits and Parent/Teacher Conferences throughout the year to strengthen the home/school coordination of activities for the child. Work with parents to establish and evaluate developmental goals for the child.
- Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of thisjob.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) / Associates Degree (accepted) in Early Childhood or in a related field with experience teaching preschool-aged children preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality about issues related to children and their families. Salary Range

- State of NM ECE professional development hours provided by Head Start. The Head Start Teacher works under the supervision of the agency's Education Services Manager.

Pay: $16.50 - $26.04 per hour
