What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of People Operations position at Child Care Associates?
The Director of People Operations of Curantis is a senior leadership role that works alongside the other Director (CCS Program Director). The Director of People Operations reports to the Executive Program Officer (at related entity of Child Care Associates). This leader works collaboratively across Curantis, LLC as well as Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas and Child Care Associates including close working relationships with CCA’s Chief Executive Officer, Chief of Staff, HR Director, Director of IT, Senior Data and Program Performance Officer. This role will lead a dynamic and experienced Child Services Team and work in tandem with the Workforce Solutions of North Central Texas Board staff.
This role is primarily responsible for driving and executing the strategic vision of Curantis while working with all teams on a wide range of strategic planning and internal initiatives. Partnering with the Executive Program Officer, the Director will provide leadership, management, planning and enhancement of internal organizational systems, processes, policies and infrastructure.
Duties
Essential functions include:
Operational Management & Organizational Design
· Oversee on-site and remote office operations;
· Supervise and support the Operations Manager, Compliance Coordinator and Training Coordinator;
· Work with Co-Director and Executive Program Officer to advise and provide insights for keeping policies and procedures up to date with best practices and compliant with all Child Care Services rules and regulations;
· Develop and continuously improve all aspects of onboarding and offboarding protocols, expectations and procedures;
· Oversee feedback and review process, documentation of performance issues and performance improvement plans;
· Support a high-capacity team and office by designing services, operations and activities towards efficiency;
· Assist Human Resources in identifying and recruiting talented team members ensuring strong pools of candidates for all CCS positions;
· Manage and help resolve complex employee relations issues with Human Resources, and
· Build strong working relationships with WSNCT Board Staff.
Employee Development and Relations
· Identify and support opportunities for employees’ professional development and growth;
· Develop employee teams that support a strong sense of belonging including respect and teamwork in diverse teams;
· Design and direct employee events and recognitions that celebrate success, team and individual achievement and build strong relationships;
· Partner with HR to ensure a strong system of performance reviews, goal achievement and accountability;
· Assess and advance employee engagement and satisfaction;
· Develop, communicate and administer internal policies that support and shape organizational culture, and
· Partner with managers to identify talent gaps, development needs and supports needs to support individual and team growth.
Communication
· Design and direct organizational communications;
· Support best practices in meetings providing tools to support efficient meetings;
· Maintain a style guide for the organization’s brand;
· Introduce tools and templates to guide a cohesive look and feel for organizational documents and correspondence (in partnership with the CCA Director of Communications);
· Ensure the organization meets language requirements for public and family correspondence, and
· Review and support outstanding public-facing communication, reports, and presentations

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
· BA degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Resources, Business Management, or other related field may be considered;
· Ten (10) years of progressive senior management in social services, operations, Human Resources field (Human Resources and/or Operations) reporting to executive leadership;
· Highly skilled leader, strategist, and operational manager;
· Demonstrated success in operations and organizational development, including operational management, financial management, change management, evaluation and assessment, and continuous improvement;
· Significant experience managing complex systems, compliance and/or quality assurance
· Demonstrated commitment to values-based leadership that fosters collaboration, inclusivity and belonging;
· Competencies in people management, conflict resolution;
· Demonstrated experience and experience operating with multiple and complex programmatic standards and developing systems that result in accurate and efficient work;
· Superb interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds;
· Demonstrated ability in leading collaborative teams with open, transparent communication;
· Stellar communications skills including written and verbal formats to groups of all sizes and individuals;
· Experience in building, growing and managing teams;
· Demonstrated ability to be flexible, resilient and adaptable to changing priorities;
· Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency as well as the ability to utilize data and technology as an effective management and communication tool;
· Ability to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination, drug test, and complete background check as required, and
· Access to reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
· Prefer 5 or more years experience in the child care scholarship/subsidy system in Texas or other states;
· SHRM Certified and/or experience in Human Resources management;
· Outstanding track record of people management, adaptive leadership, and affirmative approaches to problem solving, and
· Experience in adult education and training.
