We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. Responsibilities include designing and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and cognitive development, and ensuring the well-being of every child in the classroom.
Duties
- Always actively supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate play-based lesson plans that include hands-on learning engagements and foster development.
- Implement positive behavioral guidance techniques to foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that supports children's emotional and social growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Assist children with all caregiving needs, including meals, naps, and hygiene needs.
- Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying any areas of concern.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive educational setting.
- Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies regarding health, safety, and education standards.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA, associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a childcare setting or early childhood education preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have basic computer technology skills, including frequent use of curriculum and assessment software.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively and professionally with both children and adults.
- Insured and reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment and periodic physical examination, TB skin test, and complete background check every 24 months.
