What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prenatal & Learning Manager position at Child Care Associates?
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Family Studies, or a related field.
- Three years’ experience in an early childhood setting.
- One year experience supervising staff.
- One year experience in Head Start or a similar early childhood program.
- Computer proficiency.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination, annual TB skin test, and complete background check every 24 months.
Duties
Responsibilities:
- Oversees recruitment, selection and enrollment of home based services program.
- Work collaboratively with the Early Education Director to develop the overall vision and implementation plan for home-based programming.
- Provide home visitors and STEF staff with training and guidance to ensure the delivery of the selected home visiting education curriculum and with the delivery of services that are in line with EHS program performance standards.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of group socializations.
- Support home visitors and STEF staff in connecting families to appropriate resources.
- Develop and implement a strategic recruitment strategy to target eligible families for the home visiting and STEF programs.
- Support home visitors and STEF staff in case management.
- Monitor data management system to ensure record keeping and documentation is in line with performance standards.
- Provide timely reports to Deputy Director on home visiting and STEF program performance.
- Observe, evaluate, and provide feedback on home visitor and STEF staff skills including delivery of education curriculum, interactions with families, and required recordkeeping and documentation.
- Participate in home visits to provide support, guidance, and feedback to staff.
- Monitor attendance for participants in home visiting and STEF programs.
- Provide training and guidance to all new home visiting and STEF staff. Plan and provide training to all existing home visiting and STEF staff.
- Monitor staff compliance with program performance standards.
- Work closely with Education team to ensure delivery of high quality home based education components.
- Maintain knowledge about developmentally appropriate practices and principles of early childhood development and education.
- Other duties as assigned.
