  • Provide on-site consultation to early childhood programs’ Infant and Toddler staff who need assistance in providing environments that are socially and emotionally appropriate for the infants and toddlers in their care, communicating and educating families in social and emotional development, and assisting the staff in their own self-care.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education which may include but is not limited to the following topics : ITMH best / evidence-based practices, Adverse childhood Experiences, Cultural diversity, Early Childhood Mental Health Assessment, and Strategies.
  • Documentation of data in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in external committees, task forces, community meetings, etc. as requested to promote the program.
  • Participate in state-wide and regional meetings. Qualifications :
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or other related counseling / mental health degree. Licensed or licensed-eligible clinicians preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with young children (birth-5 years of age) and / or families with young children.
  • Experience with coaching, training, and teaching adult learners.
  • Working knowledge of infant and early childhood typical and atypical development and early childhood mental health.
  • Willingness to pursue endorsement from the New York State Association of Infant Mental Health (NYSAIMH) within a year of employment.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
  • Experience working in an early childhood setting is a plus. Compensation : $30.25 to $33 per hour
