Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Fund Developer is a key member of the team, playing a vital role in developing and implementing innovative fundraising strategies. This position is responsible for cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors, identifying and securing grant opportunities, coordinating fundraising events, and managing donor recognition efforts. Key qualifications include exceptional writing, research, communication, and relationship-building skills. The Fund Developer maintains a year-round focus on planning, organizing, and executing fundraising initiatives that support the center’s programs and services. Additionally, they lead the center’s social media efforts to engage potential donors, increase visibility, and keep the community informed about ongoing initiatives.
Essential Functions:
· Coordinate and execute fundraising events, including logistics, vendor management, and attendee coordination.
· Network with the community to raise awareness about the organization's mission.
· Manage donor logs and ensure accurate and up-to-date donor information.
· Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including newsletters, emails, and social media posts.
· Produce donor acknowledgment letters, solicitation letters, and other sensitive correspondence.
· Conduct research on potential donors, grants, and funding opportunities.
· Collaborate with team members to develop and implement fundraising plans.
· Work closely with the Executive Management Team to develop a strategy to identify and attract individual donors and solicit major donations.
· Coordinate volunteer activities and provide support during fundraising events.
· Manage the center’s social media platforms and utilize platforms and other communication channels to promote fundraising efforts, inform the community and attract new donors.
· Other duties as assigned by management
Other Functions:
· Attend all departmental meetings to ensure that up-to-date information is received and/or provided and to ensure that changes to policy or practice are implemented and adhered to.
· Comply with center Policies & Procedures
· Participate in community outreach efforts and attend community events and fairs promoting agency services.
· Attend training as required and as deemed appropriate by the Executive Management Team.
· Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to fundraising and donor stewardship.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free work area.
· Able to react to change productively and manage other essential tasks as assigned.
· Uphold the highest standards of honesty, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions and decision making.
· Work effectively with colleagues, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment while contributing to share goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:
· Minimum GED or High School Diploma. Preferred: 1-2 years of paid or unpaid experience working in a Fund Development role. (Bachelors Preferred)

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Must have knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Excel).
· Required to work a flexible schedule to facilitate center’s events, with occasional weekends required.
· Cleared Tuberculosis test results.
· Cleared background check.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish)
· Cleared drug test results
· Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
· Must have a valid driver license and reliable vehicle.
Physical Demands:
Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs. required to complete daily tasks.
Work Environment:
Predominantly indoors, occasionally outdoors when networking, potential donors/ sponsors, representing the Child Crisis Center of El Paso at events and conducting outreach activities.
Job Type: Full-time
