Early Childhood Special Educator

The Child Development Center Region 2, serving Sheridan and Johnson Counties, is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Special Educator (ECSE) to join our dynamic team in Sheridan, Wyoming. This full-time position provides special education services to preschool children (ages 3–5) and early intervention services, including Family Service Coordination (FSC), to children birth through two years of age and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized special education services to preschool children (ages 3–5) in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Deliver early intervention (Part C) services and serve as a Family Service Coordinator (FSC) for infants and toddlers (birth–2 years) and their families under Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
• Conduct developmental screenings and formal assessments to determine eligibility.
• Develop and implement IEPs and IFSPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary team members.
• Support children and families through developmental instruction, coaching, and resource coordination.
• Maintain accurate records, data entry, and meet all federal and state timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field.
• Wyoming teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education or the ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with early intervention and/or early childhood services preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week.
