What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant Floater position at Child Development Services Lakeshore Head Start?
We are looking for a dependable full-time Teacher Assistant Floater. This position would support Teachers in various classrooms in our Holland and Grand Haven locations.
Qualifications: High school diploma required. Must have a CDA credential or be willing to enroll in a CDA class to obtain the credential within two years of hire. Funding may be available to help obtain this credential.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, school year program
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Support children’s educational and developmental needs through engaging activities and individualized attention.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
- Help implement lesson plans and assist in the development of age-appropriate curriculum.
- Monitor student behavior and provide guidance to promote social skills and emotional development.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.07 - $18.82 per hour
