Foster Care Licensing Coordinator

What You'll Be Doing
You will be responsible for identifying, training, and completing licensing processes of the foster care families for children and/or adolescents. The Licensing Coordinator will be part of the Treatment Foster Care Team and participate in program activities and meetings.

Your Main Priorities
While additional responsibilities are likely to arise on the job, you will primarily:
* Assist with ensuring prospective foster parents are licensed in a timely manner.
* Initiate and facilitate the re-licensing of current foster homes.
* Conduct home studies on new applicants in accordance with SAFE protocols, utilizing the Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) model.
* Conduct visits to foster homes to ensure compliance.
* Follow up on paperwork for licensing i.e., fire/lead inspections, fingerprints, etc.

Who You Are
Requirements, Skills & Abilities:
* Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field required.
* Minimum 1 year's experience in a similar role required.
* Knowledge of the foster care system preferred.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
* Strong organizational, critical thinking and time-management skills.
* Basic computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
* Ability to communicate and effectively interact with a diverse population.
* Collaboration and teamwork.
* LEADERSHIP
* Must have a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance and car registration.
* Must authorize Child & Family to complete a motor vehicle records check.
* The ideal candidate will be required to meet all background checks and medical clearances required for the position.

Physical Requirements
Direct Service Staff:
This position requires time sitting, standing, walking, driving, carrying and lifting up to 25lbs. This role also requires operating desktop, laptop and/or cell phone, and communicating with colleagues.

Travel Requirements
Site location: Providence
Statewide travel required.
