Job Summary for Mental Health Therapist – Full Service Schools:
Under the direct supervision of the Licensed Clinical Supervisor, the Full Service School Therapist is responsible for providing high quality therapeutic services in designated schools to clients and their families utilizing a solution-focused approach and when appropriate, incorporating a family systems approach.
- Provides high quality individual, family and group counseling to caseload in the school, office or home setting, as clinically appropriate.
- Develops and completes intake forms, psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans and progress notes within the required timeframe in the Electronic Health Record System
- Develops and implements appropriate treatment plan according to diagnoses
Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements for Mental Health Therapist – Full Service Schools:
- Conferred Master’s degree and completed internship from a FL license-eligible program that allows the practitioner to register as an intern in the social work, therapeutic mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy disciplines.
- Current FL driver’s license and good driving record plus reliable transportation with automobile liability insurance is also required
Preferred Education and Experience for Mental Health Therapist – Full Service Schools:
- Previous experience providing therapeutic services to children and/or families and developing treatment plans based on current ICD/DSM diagnoses.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Previous experience using an electronic health record
