We’re growing and seeking BC / BE Pediatric Neurologists as well as those fellowship-trained in Epilepsy / Clinical Neurophysiology to join the collegial, rapidly growing team at CHRISTUS Children’s , the first and only freestanding, academic, not-for-profit children’s hospital in San Antonio, Texas. The thriving division is seeking general pediatric neurologists, epileptologists to meet the needs of a burgeoning pediatric population. Ideal candidates are reliable, hard-working team players who will participate in educational and research programs and help represent the division in the community and nationally.
The Division consists of five board-certified pediatric neurologists (including two epileptologists), three developmental behavioral / neurodevelopmental pediatricians and two full-time PNP (one for Epilepsy), with active programs in epilepsy (4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit), neurodevelopmental, sleep, neuromuscular disorders and a pediatric rehabilitation / PM&R inpatient unit. Primary responsibilities include outpatient clinics and shared inpatient rotations with call, trainee education and clinical research (which is optional). The Voelcker Clinical Research Center provides support for faculty involved with research.
Qualified applicants must have an MD, DO or MD / PhD degree, be BE / BC in Pediatric Neurology and have or will obtain a Texas medical license. Academic rank and appointment will be determined by the candidate’s credentials and experience.
