What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parenting Class Coordinator (Bilingual) position at Child Parent Institute?
The Parenting Class Coordinator performs all administrative duties related to parenting class referrals, intakes, scheduling, documentation, data collection, and client outcomes for families who currently have an open child welfare case. This position collaborates with our Parent Educators and the Program Coordinator. This coordinator must be Spanish/English bilingual and is eligible for a hybrid remote and on-site work combination.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care
- Experience with data collection and generating reports.
- At least one year of experience working or volunteering in a human services position working with vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations, utilizing culturally competent, strength-based strategies.
- Positively represent CPI to clients, employees, and other community providers.
- Use patience and tolerance in meeting families at their current developmental stage.
- Maintain willingness to take on additional tasks and remain flexible and adaptable to change.
- Ability to perform in a busy office environment, be comfortable multi-tasking
- Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative to identify problems, develop systems as needed
- Experienced software user, specifically with Google suite, Zoom, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Willingness to work in unfamiliar databases.
- Understanding and commitment to CPI's mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- In collaboration with the Program Manager and Program Coordinator, maintain all data for referred families in various trackers and databases for annual, quarterly and monthly reporting
- Manage new and existing referrals for in-person classes in our Client Support Services program.
- Perform initial intake by phone, providing case management to each parent referred to attend classes.
- Support Parent Educators with materials and common program questions.
- Support Parent Support staff with materials, technology, and common questions.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager and Program Coordinator to track new referrals and case assignments to manage program services closing cases.
- Collaborate with partner agencies and providers to ensure community access to Parent Support Services.
- Respond to community request for service information and enrollment in a timely matter.
- Help prepare for team meetings and training sessions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs (supplies)
- Prolonged sitting and working on a computer and telephone.
