What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater/Assistant Teacher position at Child Prodigy Early Learning Center?
Child Prodigy North of Lee's Summit is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant and Floater Teachers to support the following age groups:
Toddlers/2s/3s
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9am-6pm
Compensation: $14 - $15/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
