At Childcare Solutions we are growing! A new center located in Barberton, Ohio, is currently seeking an experienced and ambitious center administrator with strong leadership and supervisory skills, to join our quickly expanding organization.
Potential candidate should have previous program experience and a minimum of 1 year in a child care center. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood, energetic, organized, a problem solver and possesses great communication skills.
Responsibilities and Duties
The main educational duties will include:
- Maintains compliance with state child care licensing and Step Up to Quality requirements (SUTQ)
- Train and monitor staff as they implement curriculum and SUTQ guidelines and paperwork
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with teachers and parents
- Conducting formal and informal teacher observations
- Overseeing student assessments
- Conducting staff training, staff meetings and professional development training for staff
- Manage daily operations, ensuring all policy and procedures are met
- Using software systems
- Role model classroom expectations
- Complete SUTQ and CACFP paperwork
- Supervise staff and children
- Ensures the creation and maintenance of safe and healthy learning environments for children
- Create positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
- Creating and adjusting daily staff schedules
- Cultivate and maintain a safe and enjoyable culture while working in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated highly-effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Demonstrated responsibilities in overseeing center operations including human resources, quality assurance and facility operations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a CDA (minimum), AA, or higher degree (preferred)
- Knowledge of Step Up to Quality (SUTQ)
- Prior Director/Assistant Director experience necessary
- Knowledge of ODJFS licensing rules
- Highly motivated, self directed
- Clean BCI/FBI background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy as well as must meet deadlines
- Google Suite Proficient
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
