After School Tutor

Overview
Our company is seeking passionate and dedicated tutors to join our team in Hialeah, FL. As an Elementary Level Tutor, you will work with students in reading and math to help them achieve their academic goals. This part-time afterschool position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives while working in a supportive and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
• Assess student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
• Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance the tutoring experience and engage students in interactive learning.
• Support students with special education needs by employing appropriate strategies and resources.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment that promotes student confidence and motivation.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development initiatives.

Experience

• Previous experience working with preschool or school-aged children in an educational setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, and special education practices is highly desirable.
• Strong background in tutoring or teaching subjects relevant to the needs of students is essential.
• Experience utilizing learning technology in an educational context is a plus.
• A passion for childcare and education, coupled with excellent communication skills, is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
