ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.
Job Summary: This position is responsible for all contract administration activities. The Contract and Grant Specialist analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure they comply with relevant laws, regulations, agency policies and procedures and respond to questions from internal and external stakeholders. In addition to the daily duties of the Contract and Grant Specialist, the Contract and Grant Specialist assists the Director of Contracts with special projects; and provide ongoing support to existing team members.
Acts as the program content advisor for assigned contracts; monitors and facilitates program effectiveness using quantifiable data and input from service providers, consumers, and community stakeholders such as enhanced provider performance, documented program outcomes to evaluates services and assess and identify system service needs and gaps in service delivery.

- Acts as the primary point of contact with assigned contracts and grants and serves as the liaison with ChildNet staff and other stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to agency staff on contractual/grant requirements as necessary.
- Writes, prepares, and manages contracts, rate agreements, and purchase orders and resolves disputes in accordance with ChildNet’s policies and procedures and state, federal and local regulations, and laws.
- Manage assigned grants in accordance with contractual terms and conditions by ensuring compliance with contract and grant deliverables such as schedules, reports, and service delivery.
- Works collaboratively with subcontractors to ensure proper interpretation of contract provisions; identify and correct areas of non-compliance and provide guidance and technical assistance when necessary.
- Develops, organizes, and ensures contract and grant files are complete and fully documented to meet audit standards.
- Maintain tracking and utilization reports for all assigned contracts, rate agreements, and grants.
- Collect, organize, and prepare documentation in sufficient detail to subsequently invoice respective funders for payment.
- Continuously follow up with funders to ensure accurate and timely receivables and reconciliation of all payments with the finance department.
- Continually review processes and participates in continuous quality improvement activities to ensure efficiency within the Contracts Department and makes recommendations to the Director of Contracts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/ Requirements:
Years of Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in Contract or Project/Grants Management
- Experience with government or non-profit entity preferred.
- Combination of education and experience in related field
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
