What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Assistant position at Childpeace Montessori School?
Childpeace Montessori School is seeking a Kitchen Assistant. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position working 4 hours per week day (exact daily schedule TBD).
The Kitchen Assistant is an integral member of our dedicated kitchen team, supporting kitchen operations with key responsibilities, including:
- Preparing nutritious lunches for the Toddler Community
- Performing general cleaning and maintaining a safe, sanitary kitchen environment that serves as the food preparation hub for the entire community
- Ordering kitchen supplies as needed
- Assisting with menu planning in collaboration with the Guides

Childpeace Montessori School is the only AMI recognized school to offer toddler, primary and elementary programs in one convenient downtown Portland location. We also have a middle school program operating adjacent to our Northwest campus. The majority of our administrative staff work out of our main downtown campus in a convenient spot for coffee, urban parks, and beautiful walking trails.
