CADES seeks Director, Adult Day Program to further our mission of empowering those with special needs to achieve their highest potential.
Position Description: The Director, Adult Day Program has a firm understanding of ODPs vision of services for adults with disabilities and effectively designs, develops, and implements program policies and procedures to ensure program compliance and integrity according to state regulations, and standard best practices. Rooted in the Core Values of Respect, Trust and Growth, this role ensures high quality programming, consistent and equitable supervision, stakeholder engagement and dynamic leadership. The Director, Adult Day Program serves as a subject matter expert for Adult Day Programming at CADES and for community and facility-based care and ensures the health and safety of all individuals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan and implement annual goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcomes the program, drive the strategic direction and growth of the program, actively engage and create opportunities to advance the program and its offerings in innovative ways.
- Develop and implement a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for continuous quality improvement, including opportunities, risks and external challenges, assess program effectiveness, create short- and long-term goals and objectives to remain current, and relevant, create a unique niche and remain competitive.
- Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization with all relevant regulations, health, safety and professional standards.
- Ensure the collection of data and maintenance of records on the clients of the program for statistical purposes according to the confidentiality/privacy policy of the organization.
- Monitor the program activities on a regular basis and conduct an annual program evaluation according to a determined framework, plan and implement in coordination with the QA Director comprehensive quality improvement plans, satisfaction surveys, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, that are based on best practices and highlight areas for improvement, systematically acquire and act upon customer feedback.
- Develop and retain a well-trained and well-performing management team that abides by the mission, core values, human resources policies and program procedures in accordance with ODP requirements, supervise the management team to ensure appropriate and equitable supervision of program staff, proper staffing ratios and procedures, provide consistent direction, coaching and feedback and promote a culture of equity and accountability.
- Liaise with other Directors to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery between programs, engage in rigorous process of dialogue, conflict resolution, change management, conjoint problem solving and teamwork to ensure positive outcomes for all individuals in our care.
- Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the program sustainability and growth, employ a process of research, industry standard, innovation and strategic planning to drive program planning including, but not limited to personnel, facilities, administrative, program, advertising, equipment, maintenance and other line items and expenditures
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Development on funding proposals for the program to ensure the continuous delivery of services, Manage all project and program funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university of college in human services or related field, required.
- Three (3) three years experience providing program leadership and supervision, five (5) years experience working in with individuals with multiple disabilities, required.
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to develop and implement program plans.
- Ability to research, analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to communicate effectively, manage, mediate, and resolve conflict.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, prioritize workload, work independently and meet deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
