CADES seeks a Facilities Assistant to further our mission of empowering those with special needs to achieve their highest potential.
Position Description: The Facilities Assistant provides administrative coordination and support to the Operations of CADES, ensuring that they are in a condition of excellence, enabling full programmatic use of facilities at all times - overseeing safety; ensuring compliance with legal requirements; and assisting in building projects for CADES construction, site acquisition, renovation, and maintenance of facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and on-going maintenance of vendor relationships.
- Manages facilities data, including monitoring and maintaining the supply inventory in the electronic maintenance software program, completing weekly inventory of building supplies and updating inventory in the electronic maintenance software program.
- Manages transportation fleet.
- Provides administrative assistance to the Operations department.
- Invoice monitoring and approvals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Current valid drivers license with a minimum of 3-year acceptable driving record.
- At least 1 year of experience providing support to a multi-site facility.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write and complete routine reports.
- Knowledge of the geography of the areas served and of traffic laws for the state of Pennsylvania.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supported individuals and their families, staff of programs, agencies/school districts, and third-party contractors.
- Ability to drive passenger vans, station wagons, and cars.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including the ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, bend, twist, and turn.
