What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapeutic Support for Families (TSF) position at Children and Families First Delaware Inc?
Description
- Conduct community-based psychosocial groups using a structured format.
- Provide assessment, planning, referrals, advocacy and collateral contacts on behalf of adolescents and families.
- Willingness to learn and understand the fundamental principles of models of therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is required.
- Prepare and maintain timely documentation and records in accordance with agency, state accreditation, and other requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in regular peer review, individual supervision, and clinical consultation as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with the agency and community.
- Testify at court hearings as necessary.
- Part-time, hourly, up to 20 hours per week.
- Positions work primarily afternoons and evenings.
- Location of position covers Kent County.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in social service or related field, required. Master's degree in social service or related filed, preferred.

· Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population.
· Previous job or student placement experience in child welfare, family serving agency, or community based agency.
· Previous experience working with children, preferred.
· Flexibility with respect to work assignment in accordance with agency need.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Good organizational skills.
· Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier.
