Description
Children & Families of Iowa and the Director of the Support for Careers program, is seeking a qualified candidate who can be flexible in their schedule to work on an as needed basis for evenings and weekends, as an on-site Job Coach for clients. On-site job coaching is a service that is provided at an individual's place of employment and will include transporting the person to and from our main location when needed.
Wage $15.00 an hour
Sample Job Duties:
- Provide training to clients who are employed in competitive employment by: reinforcing the essential tasks/duties/core skills of the job/business; building natural supports; reinforcing business culture; modeling appropriate dress and protocol to the employee; teaching safe practices according to the work environment; and modeling appropriate workplace behavior.
- Provide information to the support for careers supervisor regarding any issues that the supervisor needs to address with the client’s employer to improve opportunities for success.
- Develop and maintain individualized program plans for each assigned client, including monitoring progress, providing feedback, and changing plans when necessary.
- Learn and implement positive, mutually reinforcing support techniques and attend other trainings to improve service provision.
- Must assist client in understanding job duties, expected behavior and company culture.

Requirements
Minimum of a high school degree is required and experience in the workforce is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Salary : $15
