As a Clinician on our Behavioral Health team, you will be supported by a dedicated team offering services to those in need. This role works under the guidance of the assigned Clinical Supervisor and is responsible for providing professional therapy and counseling to children and families at our Child Development Center. This position offers flexible hours.

The impactful work you'll be doing:
- Provide professional, trauma-informed therapy, from infants to adults, following the guidelines and policies of the program in which they are served. This includes ongoing in-office therapy and counseling for individuals, families, and groups to address issues driving treatment. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet with families of children at the Child Development Center (CDC).
- Offer clinical consultation to the CDC staff and contribute to therapeutic interventions for children in the classroom. Attend and/or provide input during quarterly staff meetings for children in the therapeutic classroom.
- Deliver evidence-based Child-Parent Psychotherapy to support therapy for children aged 0-5 and their families.
- Complete Special Needs Assessments for children requiring therapeutic childcare.
- Perform all necessary record-keeping and reporting to meet agency and external requirements. This includes developing and maintaining goal-oriented treatment plans, communicating with other agencies, programs, and clients, as well as writing therapy notes and discharge summaries to track progress and ensure effective care. Coordinate clinical aspects of assigned program areas for smooth and efficient facilitation.
- Assess the need for and coordinate community resources and referrals for families at the Child Development Center.
- Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and training sessions provided by the mental health team and the CDC program.
- Meet the required billable hour expectation of 20-25 hours per week.

Requirements
Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field, with experience in family and individual counseling. A strong understanding of human dynamics and trauma-informed care is required, or a willingness to receive trauma-informed training. Must be licensed or soon to be licensed in Iowa.
