Duties Description During the summer school session, over a three-month period, the incumbent will: Assisting in the summer education program in a small Office of Children and Family Services residential center. Develop an overall facility education plan, supervise teachers, evaluate staff performance and assign students to appropriate classes. Up to 50% of your time may be spent instructing students in subject area courses.Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive: a New York State permanent or professional Certification in one of the following: Teacher, Career and Technical Teacher, School Administrator/Supervisor, School Building Leader, or School District Leader; AND three years of post-New York State certification (conditional, initial, provisional, permanent, or professional) teaching experience. One year of teaching experience is defined as 30 hours a week for 10 months.
