Job Title : Head Start Center Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Start Center Director to oversee the daily operations of our Head Start program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to children and families.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operations of the Head Start program, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children and staff
- Provide leadership and supervision to all program staff, including teachers, assistants, and support staff
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, community partners, and other stakeholders
- Monitor program performance and make recommendations for improvement as needed
- Manage program budget and ensure financial accountability
- Ensure that all program data is collected and reported accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and program management
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum of five years of experience in early childhood education, with at least three years in a leadership roleState mandated 45-hour coursework completion or ability to complete within prescribed timelinesValid Driver's License and acceptable driving record proof of auto insurance within agency limits, or access to transportationImmediate / continued enrollment in the Criminal History Registry-Child Care DivisionCurrent Health Appraisal, updated every two (2) yearsCertification in Infant / Child Adult CPR and First Aid certification, required within (90) days of hireCLASS Reliable Observer Certification for Infant / Toddler / PreK within 2 years of hireKnowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and other relevant regulationsStrong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staffExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with families, staff, and community partnersStrong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programsChildren First is an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
